ABOUT

Born in Warsaw, Poland in 1974 and raised in Melbourne Australia. Monika moved to South Gippsland, Victoria in 2018 which prompted a revival of her art practise and ignited an interest in landscapes.​

 

With a background in interior and joinery design she is a self-taught artist who has maintained her passion for painting by experimenting on her own terms and attending selected art courses. She most recently completed First Year Foundational Studies at Byron School of Art.​

 

Monika uses paint to explore her immediate surroundings and focuses on how light and colour create atmosphere and mood. Endlessly inspired by nature she strives to capture a moment in time.
